How is VAT calculated in Ghana?
The standard VAT rate is 12.5%, but there’s an exception for supplies from shopper retailers and the flat-rate fee applies instead at 3%. Customers who buy taxed goods in your business pay this tax when they use them or get Services that have been provided by you – it doesn’t matter how much profit margin exists between what was sold to whom!
